Booking a Learning Strategies Workshop

The Learning Centre coordinator teaches workshops on learning strategies based on current cognitive science research on memory and how the human brain learns best. Topics can include strategies for online learning, time management, active listening and note-taking, effective reading (SQ3R), memorization, and test-preparation/test-taking skills. Workshops are currently offered remotely using a synchronous Zoom session with polls, breakout rooms and other interactive experiences.

Resumes & Cover Letter Writing: The Learning Centre has created a self-paced, asynchronous Moodle course (Resume & Cover Letter Writing, ID 6476) to replace the in-person workshops that used to be offered. Instructors can request a copy of the course to customize for their own cohort or program, and use it in a blended or fully online format.
